Charlotte Amelia's Mission...
The Charlotte Amelia School of Dance follows the world recognised Royal Academy of Dance syllabus in all classical ballet classes. These classes are designed for your child to develop sound ballet technique whilst building lifelong friendships in a safe, nurturing learning environment. As ballet is the foundation of all dance we endeavour to deliver the highest quality of ballet training and aim to create technical, strong well rounded dancers. We have a 100% pass rate in all our ballet exams with all students achieving either Distinctions or High Merits.
Our Street Dance classes are delivered with an upbeat, exciting approach inspiring children to develop their individual dance style whilst also experimenting/exploring the way their bodies move. We encourage improvisation and group work with the young classes to help develop confidence and social skills.
Our Acrobatic classes are taught by qualified professionals and are a fantastic way for dancers to enhance their skills by introducing new dimensions to their movement vocabulary. Mastering cartwheels, rolls, and intricate balance techniques, dancers not only improve their strength, flexibility, and coordination but also gain greater body awareness and control. By integrating acrobatic elements, dancers can elevate their routines, learn new skills and reach their full potential.
My Story
Charlotte Amelia, founder of the Charlotte Amelia School of Dance, has been dedicated to dance since the age of 3. Charlotte Amelia has completed all ballet exams up to and including Advanced 2 with an exceptional score of 91/100. Charlotte also undertook professional training in Jazz, Street Dance, Lyrical and Acrobatics.
At 18, Charlotte trained professionally at the Prestigious Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom Surrey, achieving two Level 6 Diplomas in Dance and Musical Theatre. Her commitment to advancing her skills led her to the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance, which she has since completed. Additionally, Charlotte is a qualified Acrobatic Arts teacher, further enriching her ability to offer a diverse and comprehensive dance education.
As ballet is the foundation of all dance Charlotte endeavours to deliver the highest quality of ballet training whilst creating technical, strong, well-rounded dancers. Charlotte respects each student and strives to support their individual needs to assist in helping the students achieve their full potential.
